I have begun to put some buildings up in the sector.

Kogania Way:

Detyr Rangol's Last Post - Combat training (arms, armour, potions, damage and healing) and Arena (sparing, challenges and duels).

The Exchange - To contain a bank, and some details about the economy.

Frangborf Lane:

Der Kevat Storehouse - Storage vault, and private merchants for players.

Gebyn Balys' Villa - A rich person's home - tells stories of adventure and interesting tid bits of lore.

Old Warehouse - Dingy Rundown place for discrete activities.

Check them out if you can... let me know what you think.

Namesake of the sector. This ancient structure is rumoured to be haunted, and has been sealed for years. Some hint at a secret entrance, allowing one inside to explore the abandoned structure.

Not that I mind much myself, but those streets each belong to a specific mod for developing the new beginner city. Maybe you should ask for your own street to help build the city! Some of us already knew what we wanted on our streets, and this might come across as stepping on other people's toes.

For example Kogania Way (my street) may have a description of having of vendors (like carts, small bakeries, etc.), but I was going to make it more focused on beginner quests relating to certain "shop" themes, I didn't want it to deal in weapons and fighting, but more ordinary "day to day" type wares (simplicity). Also the buildings are small and simple...The Exchange seems more like it belongs in a more bustling central street...Kogania Way is more of a small side street. If you made your own street it might fit better, as it seems a little out of place on a side street.

Also, keep in mind the beginner city is supposed to be a small city. Might help you decide how you want your street to be. Ask Rob to have a street of your own! Very Happy

Rob said he set me up, and I only had access to those two streets. I'll see about getting one for myself... no further buildings will appear.

All further updates to remain inside the buildings.

Hi, just wonder what general theme each of us has for our chosen streets in the new town?

I also had some further ideas for a additional sectors / outskirts of town.

Rural - Farms etc,

Wilds - Forest, Wilds, Swamp, etc...

I have a character exploring Asan'gard now to keep an eye on the changes as they happen.

My thoughts:
1] Wild Demense - Sector - Surrounding wildspace to explore (mostly wild animals - some more exotic beasts).
Korghim Swamp - wet, boggy, marsh, dead trees, and stagnant ponds.
Gel'duhn Forest - Woodlands, glades, light growth, easy terrain.
Vesich Highlands - Hilly area, scrub, and open meadows
Sytroft Wilds - old growth forest, tangled brambles, dark craggy wastes

2] Greenvale - Street - Rural area - farms and fields / fishing pond / etc.

3] Old Asan'gard Court - Street - more central area of the town - richer denizens, storehouse, combat trainer, bank, church, town hall.

Also would like to move my buildings to Old Asan'Gard Court if the others wish me to vacate their streets. Could The Ruined Watchtower be moved to a more appropriate street - "Old Tower End".

It's mine. I thought about moving it after the toe-stepping remark, if it's an issue. Smile

I'll be basing a few quests around it. As a mini dungeon of sorts to be explored.

Also gives some feel to the sector name.

Nifty on the quest idea...I need to write mine out and start posting them...always seems to be the hardest part with me. Since they are to be for beginners, maybe some of them with be errand running before they become true quests...still thinking about it though.

Begginer quest can be linked though, making a errand, become a series of errands.

The first NPC tells you where to look for item, but when you get there you are redirected by NPC #2 who says go do something else for them, etc...

Old Asan'gard - original village center, which has developed as it grew into a town. With streets:
Old Asan'gard Court
Greenvale Street

Wild Demense - Wilderness region surrounding Asan'gard. With streets:
Korghim Swamp
Gel'duhn Forest
Vesich Highlands
Sytroft Wilds

It seems like a lot, but I really can't see much to add to Malmon, so my creative juices are being tasked to Asan'gard.

yay! new content. what i would like is to hold off on adding the content - let's discuss and plan (write it down on paper or in Word). Then we can iron out details of the world (xp scale, price scale, quest ideas, areas, buildings (so we dont have 40 merchants) Smile
